Lyman is the north end of Gulfport, up Highway 49 past Orange Grove toward the Wolf River and the Highway 53 turnoff. It still reads rural at the edges — acreage, pine woods, a creek behind the back fence — with newer slab neighborhoods filling in along the highway. Surge never got this far; wind and rain did. Zeta took roofs here in 2020, and the low ground toward the river holds water after a wet week. The older houses have crawl spaces and original plumbing; the newer ones are tight and air-conditioned year-round.

A ceiling stain that showed up after a storm and hasn’t stopped growing is the common call — attic mold remediation if the roof deck got wet, or mold removal in the room below. In the older houses it’s a smell up through the floor after rain.
Say where it is, what got wet, and how long ago. We remove mold; testing isn’t something we do.

The work area sealed and put under negative pressure, wet drywall, trim, and insulation bagged and out of the house, framing cleaned and dried before anything gets closed back up. The job, start to finish.
A dark, slick patch on drywall or a ceiling after a leak that ran for weeks. CDC says the kind of mold doesn’t change what happens next: the wet material comes out, and the water behind it has to stop.
A house that took surge, a roof that leaked through a whole season, or a place that sat shut and damp for a year. Room-by-room containment and removal on one plan, with one written report at the end.
Black streaks on the roof deck under a lifted shingle, a bath fan blowing steam into the rafters, a duct sweating onto the insulation all summer. Cleaned in place with the attic sealed from the rooms below.
The ceiling over the shower, the drywall behind the toilet, the floor of the vanity. Small rooms that never dry out on the coast, and removal that holds once the moisture is dealt with.
Gulfport runs the air most of the year, and cold duct in a hot attic sweats. A musty blast when the unit starts is the tell. Growth at the coil, the plenum, or in wet flex duct — cleaned or replaced.
Raised houses along Beach Boulevard, on piers in Pass Christian, on pilings in Waveland — damp Gulf air moves under all of them. Joists and subfloor cleaned, wet insulation out, and what has to change to keep it dry.
One closet, one bedroom, or the whole downstairs that smells like a wet towel after every rain. We find the material behind the smell and take it out, instead of covering it up.
